I jsut hope that this doesnt become like wu shang shen di,
where every fifth or so episode the MC starts an all out war against everyone, gets almost killed, fakes death and starts anew in new country. rinse and repeat.

It won't become like that, in fact after the next three sect trials he will be more present in the sect than before. After that story opens into internal sect struggle. More than half of elders are in fact spies from factions all over the continent and all factions aim to take over the sect by deposing patriarh and changing him with their own. Tan Yun joins the sect faction under old sect master and becomes holy son, then young sect master and finally sect master. With exception of the plot where he is accused of killing old sect master and needs to hide away to get barrings and power, he will only continue forward.

Although it seems like I spoiled a lot, it is not, lol. This sect struggle is only minor plot in lower realm and sect is only one of chess pieces revolving about Tan Yuns past and divine realm meddling and this is just on mortal realm. There are 4 major arcs separated in mortal realm, divine realm, upper divine realm and supreme divine realm

wow, I thought I was the only one who got fed up with that mc. He's always, almost getting killed after a battle with subpar opponents. I dropped it in the recent few episodes where he almost got killed again, and had to be saved by his fiancée.

Like I havent watched it for a while noww, but after each almost-death, it appears like eons have passed as one of his former students now works in a ss-of-the-world place in the middle of nowhere as patriarch and such.
like they before were school boys and he the teacher and now it's evveryone spread around the world doing their businesses.

like wtf, the guy was literally away for a few days.
or there are huge time skips that are almost never mentioned directly.

but anyways, while I hype the revenge hought, the id iot starts all out war with everyone at once and get his a ss kicked hard.
as in one episode where he talks about the previous near death battle and chick tells him "yeah, of course they held back. nirvana realm could easily obliterate you into ash if they wanted"

the last good part was his first fight where his dad died and he swallowed all the pils to reach god level temporarily.
after that it went downhill :-(

Yes, he did it again! He waged war against another sect in the recent episodes. I think his disciples tried to stop him but he said he has everything planned out.

I actually thought he knew what he was doing but it turns out it was all a fluke. He was severely beaten. He even exhausted all his power and almost got killed after battling with just one insignificant elder of the sect.

It makes me wonder if he was really once all powerful.

I've watched similar donghuas where the mc was once all powerful, gets betrayed and killed, and gets a second chance at life.

Those MCs are able to defeat stronger opponents because they have strong & powerful techniques they learned in the past, like the mc in "Legend of sky lord." That guy is no joke.

I'm currently watching "ling jian zun"

It's a good one. The mc is decisive, and doesn't slack off.

it depends. in ling jian zun, from at least how I perceived it stuff went downhill after the guy went from brown haired dude to his new caracter model.
but might jsut be me.

I prefer MCs in a Chinese anime over that of a Japanese anime. Usually, when a the mc gets isekaid in a Japanese anime, they are so oblivious about how their powers work, and how powerful they are.

They don't even bother to find out the full potential of their abilities. Only a hand few of then do so. The one I hate the most is "Isekai Cheat Magician."

That mc is hopeless. He's above level 2000 but can't even defeat an opponent in level 200. He always passes out mid battle and has to get saved by his partner who's at level 300 or so. And that partner is able to defeat the bad guy 🤦‍♂️

I suggest you give "Villain of destiny" a try.

The mc is so cool.

nevermind, found it. seems like it only has 10-12 episodes so far. and finding a good place to watch them is hard too :-/
